“ The wicked shall not win ”
Among other points in this sermon, Pastor Price explains that due to political circumstances, we are tempted to panic about the tyranny we see in this nation, the threat of persecution, and our God-given rights being gradually stripped from us. But we should not be overcome with fear because our God reigns. It's not the purpose of the wicked that shall win the day, it is the purpose of God that will conquer all. God uses His power and authority to judge the wicked in this world; He raises them up on high places just to judge them and to show where their wickedness leads.

“ God's appointments ”
Towards the end of this sermon, Pastor Price explains that God is never late in keeping His Word. Delays are God's appointments in our life to stretch us to exercise our faith in the promises of God so that we don't walk by sight; so that we don't walk by feelings; so that we don't walk by what we observe by way of circumstances; so that we walk according to the promises of God. That's faith because we can't see the promises of God. When we pray for something we think is truly needful, God always responds. It may be a no, it may be a yes, or it may be a wait. God has responded when He calls us to wait. In what He gives us, or in what He doesn't give us, or in what He calls us to wait for, He always does us good.

“ America is a covenant-breaking nation ”
Pastor Price explains that our forefathers in England, Scotland and Ireland swore the Solemn League and Covenant, which was a national covenant, sworn by the representatives of those nations on behalf of themselves and that generation, and they included their posterity within the covenant. We are that posterity. Therefore, it is not only those of that generation that are bound, but all succeeding generations are bound by the covenant. When nations break covenants with God, the covenant does not end. Instead, those nations become covenant breakers. The people of North America were colonies of Great Britain, therefore we are bound by that same covenant. The United States and Canada are covenant-breaking nations because we have not kept that covenant. As a result, we are under God's judgment.

“ God ordains all events ”
Pastor Price explains that it is not the resources of man that guarantee success or bring to pass the events in life, it is the divinely ordained plan and good pleasure of God that orders the time and events in our lives (even those events that appear from our human perspective to be “chance” because they are outside the control of man).

Great sermon on godly shame and forgivenss: As Pastor Price said: Godly shame send you to Christ - worldy shame sends you away from Christ. Always, remember, the end of holy shame before God is a certain hope in the mercy and forgiveness of Jesus Christ. May the Lord Jesus work this in all his children.

“ Great Sermon! ”
"A sovereign Providence breaks men's measures, and blasts their hopes, and teaches them that the way of man is not in himself, but subject to the divine will. We must use means, but not trust to them; if we succeed, we must give God the praise (Psa_44:3); if we be crossed, we must acquiesce in his will and take our lot." Matthew Henry. And so it is!

“ Heaven's perspective on the miseries of life ”
Pastor Price explains that in God's time, whether in this life, or whether we are in heaven, He will make all things beautiful. That's our unchangeable hope. That's why we can have joy regardless of what we're going through. When we reach that heavenly shore, we will have heaven's perspective on all the miseries of this life. Presently we have an earthly perspective and we try to have, as God's people, a heavenly perspective on what happens in our life. But day in and day out, we seem to fail. But when we are in the presence of Christ, we will have heaven's perspective on all the miseries of this life. And then we will see the beauty of God's wisdom in ordaining what He did for our lives and for the lives of our loved ones. Then it will make sense to us, even if it doesn't make any sense to us right now. So let us cling to the truth that God already "hath made every thing beautiful in his time." That is our comfort in the midst of all the miseries of this life.

“ Alexander the Great gained world & lost his soul ”
As Pastor Price explains, Alexander the Great gained the whole world but lost his own soul. Alexander died a young man, yet he had conquered the known world. He had attained the glory, the power, and the supremacy at that time. What did it profit him? He had lost his own soul. He died without faith and trust in the living God. Which is more important? The pleasures and comforts of this life? Or the riches and glory of heaven? What you consider to be more important is what you are going to value the most in your life.

“ Important points ”
Faithful shepherds - will stand up against the wolves, hazard their lives and livelihoods, will not abandon the flock. vs Hirelings - At best are just babysitters working for money. At worst they flee from the wolves, or are wolves themselves. Suggests that damage has been done to churches by Hirelings than by the world.

“ Walk by faith ”
Pastor Price explains that if we only consider what we can see with our eyes, our fears will run away with us. Our sovereign God puts us into seemingly hopeless situations before powerful enemies, not to cast us into despair, but that we might look away from what we can see with our eyes, or what we hear with our ears, that we might look away from all of our own human resources, to cast ourselves upon Him and His infinite power, and wisdom, and help. Mere appearances are deceiving and misleading. That's why we are taught in Scripture that we must not walk by sight, and we must not walk by feelings, but by faith in who God is, and His might, and His power, and His wisdom, and His love, and His tender mercies. And we must also walk in the promises of God that He has made unto us. Whatever you face by way of some great trial that seems hopeless, it is not hopeless because God is ever faithful to His own.

“ Challenging God ”
As Pastor Price explains, some people challenge God as if they were mightier than their Creator. They sin with a high hand and shake their fists in God's face and insult the Almighty by their wicked deeds. That's what's being done with the perversion of Biblical marriage in the so-called Respect for Marriage Act that codifies into national law same-sex so-called marriages. It seeks to shake its fist in God's face, destroy God's institution of marriage, and dares God to do anything about it. But He will do something about it; God will not be silent when we take such steps, whether as a nation, or whether as individuals. God may delay His judgment so as to give time to repent, but He will not be silent forever. As this sermon demonstrates, God did show up in a mighty way when King Belshazzar challenged Him at a drunken party. Belshazzar desecrated what God called holy, when he and his guests drank wine from the golden vessels that had been taken out of the temple of God in Jerusalem. Interestingly, Belshazzar did not challenge any of the false gods of the nations, not even the gods of the Medes and the Persians who had surrounded Babylon. He only challenged the one true God because polytheists respected the gods of other nations, but the God of the Bible is exclusive.

“ Worthy is the Lamb! ”
Thank you my Brother for exalting the Worthy Lamb and making sin exceeding sinful. Rev 5:11  And I beheld, and I heard the voice of many angels round about the throne and the beasts and the elders: and the number of them was ten thousand times ten thousand, and thousands of thousands;  Rev 5:12  Saying with a loud voice, Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.  Pray for the fatherless and at such a time, that they would know Him! “ Misplaced faith ”
Pastor Price challenges believers to search their hearts to answer questions about where they place their faith: Have we been trusting in riches as opposed to trusting in Christ? What is honestly and sincerely our chief goal in life? Is it to embrace Christ and to grow in the grace and knowledge of Christ to the glory of God? Or is it to embrace a better job? A bigger home? A newer car? Or a larger bank account? It is possible to have a misplaced faith by trusting not in riches per se, but in other things such as our children, our spouse, or our calling. Is how we view ourselves determined by what we possess? Or by what others think of us? Do we view ourselves as truly being successful and blessed because of our union to Jesus Christ or because of our union to our earthly possessions and the applause of others? What in your mind makes you truly successful in the most important and significant sense of success? Sincerely answering these kinds of questions can help us to understand whether we are truly trusting in Christ or in earthly possessions.
