Great Sermon! Brilliant sermon comparing revival to evangelism. Mr ravenhill is such a spirit filled man- with such a heart for promoting gods kingdom. I couldn't help thinking regarding all the comments about the country offending god and being in such a bad state- it has only got 100 x worse since he preached this and we have still not learnt these essential lessons about revival ....

Great Sermon! Hey G.T!
Good comment on 1 Cor 14:34. One thought on the Galatians passage, though.
When you read the passage in context it is referring to salvation rather than to roles in the church. Here's 3:26-29:
"For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's descendants, heirs according to the promise."
The next chapter continues to speak of being heirs/sons of God.
This is a huge subject and this a short response, but I hope it helps clarify what that passage is speaking on :)

Great Sermon! According to the Greek translation of the New Testament, I Cor 14: 34 & 35, the word "woman is translated "wife/wives". In searching out bible history, the women at that time were on one side of the congregation and the men on the opposite side. The trouble was that the wives would attempt to speak to their husband across from them and of course, this caused confusion and disruption. Paul was admonishing the women/wives, that if they had any questions to ask of their husbands, there were to ask at them home. In using women, God has no respect of persons. It was a woman Jesus gave the first message of his resurrection(Mary Magdalene) to "Go tell my disciples...God will use any yielded vessel. "There is neither Jew, nor Greek there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male or FEMALE; for ye are all ONE in Christ Jesus". Galations 3:28~

Great Sermon! I agree with "Servant" and the scripture he has given. Here is another line upon his line. 1 COR 14 [33] For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.
[34] Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law.
[35] And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church.
[36] What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only?
[37] If any man think himself to be a prophet, or spiritual, let him acknowledge that the things that I write unto you are the commandments of the Lord.
[38] But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant.
[39] Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.
[40] Let all things be done decently and in order.

Response to Women Preachers God is very clear in His word: "Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence." -- 1 Timothy 2:11-12. This is referring to in the church. Some men may have "dropped the ball" but this does not make God's commandment void. The woman can teach her family and raise them up right (Titus 2:3). Many Christians have compromised with the world, and tried to stretch God's laws. You don't stretch God's laws. It's either you follow them or you don't. No women preachers, period. That's the end of it, by God's word. If your Pastor has dropped the ball then find a different one. Don't make God's word void. Follow all of it and not just part of it.

Great Sermon! One of the reasons that God allows women to teach and preach is because some male failed Him. We forget that He is God and He loves willing vessels.

Great Sermon! Great sermon. Revival based upon the
BIBLE is essential. Get rid of Gay
Preachers and Women Preachers and back to the Bible is the only way we can
have a real revival.

The Revival We Need "In revival God is not concerned about filling empty churches, He is concerned about filling empty hearts." Leonard Ravenhill gives in this sermon a very biblical and straight forward approach to revival. "The very word "revive" presupposes life" The Church once had life, let us seek after God to recover and revive us back to that prior state of glory.
Leonard Ravenhill became one of the twentieth century's greatest authorities on revival. His message is drastic, fearless, and often radical. Appalled by the disparity between the New Testament Church and what passes for the Church today, Ravenhill gives a no-compromise call to...
