Seed, Feed, and Needs

The fruit and root of faith and its seed source that's been planted in a believing and trusting soul.
Faith — the substance of what is expected (the fruit) from the seed of God's word planted in the right soil — and — the evidence of that seed that can't be seen underneath the surface (the root).
The root, by design, will produce its fruit. And the fruit manifests its root.
I keep beans in my pocket. And I have a kidney bean that I have right here, and we talked about how the Lord will, what, break up some ground in our life, right? He'll scar us up, he'll turn us up so that he can plant that seed in us, and we referred to that the truth, God's word is a seed, it's his seed, and every seed has life in it. What right now, this kidney bean, the life that is in it is dormant. And it'll remain dormant. I could put it on this pulpit and we could walk out of here and not return for 100 years. And as long as this building remains and this seed sits on this pulpit area right here, life is in it. But the only way life can be released out of it is it has to be what? It must be planted. It's got to be under pressure for it to die and open up and begin to grow roots down before we ever start seeing the shoots come up. Keep this truth in mind — faith is what? Faith is the substance of things hoped for, and we see that it's speaking of fruit, things that we are expecting. Now if I planted this kidney bean, this camellia red bean, if I planted it, I wouldn't be expecting a great northern bean to come out, right? I would be expecting what? Kidney beans.
