You know the saying, it is about someone driving down the road or walking on the side walk but they think there just ain't enough room for them on their side so they take both sides. We read that portion about Elijah to show that the people were looking for a reason to pick a side. Each generation needs to pick a side. Churches are closing at such high rates today not because of the lost but because too many Christians aren't willing to pick a side, too many want to be everybody's friend.
