This week we will look look further into the matter of the conscience. Our conscience determines how we live and respond to God yet we cannot rely upon our conscience to be true. So much so that we cannot even look to our conscience to know if it is clean or not, we must look to Christ, by whose blood our conscience has been cleansed.
It would be fair to say that it doesn't always 'feel' this way. And so the writer of Hebrews tells us to 'encourage one another daily, so long as it is called Today, so that none of you may be hardened by sin's deceitfulness.' We come together each week, and share with others daily, not to have our consciences cleansed week after week, but to remind and encourage each other that this has happened in Christ, once for all.
