The love of Paul for the brethren causes him to pray for the brethren in Philippians 1:9-11. And the great purpose and ends of this model prayer is that God would be praised and glorified in the Philippians. And the great means for them to glorify God is that they would abound more and more in love.
Our greatest motivation and zeal should be for God to be glorified. And the great means He has given us to glorify Him is through loving obedience to His Law--a Law of love that is fulfilled by love and only obeyed through a redeemed heart.
It would be like heaven if all mankind would obey God's commandments--which are summarized by loving God with all our heart, soul, strength and mind, and loving our neighbor as ourself. May the church pursue God's glory by this love, thereby showing the world a glimpse of heaven on earth--and for the glory of God.
