What s help this was. I once joined a KJV only church, and brother believe me they have all kinds of strange beliefs. I left a long time ago, but the thing is that I was kind of haunted by KJV only ideas. Thanks for this sermon God bless you!

“ Great Sermon! ”
This is one of the best sermons I have ever heard on this subject. Pastor Barkman handles this subject with the objectivity, sensitivity, & Biblical authority which is sorely lacking in so many discussions of the topic of Bible versions. Thank you for posting this sermon!

Good defence of inter-racial marriage. Sadly, this biblical truth is under assault from various heretics in our day. However, in response to claims below, the reason he does not mention omissions from the Vaticanus manuscript is because a manuscript is not the same thing as a printed text or a translation of the Bible. Some manuscripts only have fragments of a few verses. Does that mean that we should judge them to be perversions because they do not contain the entire NT? No, because that is not the function of individual manuscripts.

“ Good Message. ”
In the Bible, the word 'race' doesn't appear: Do believers have liberty to be racist? When it is based on the false idea of evolutionism, NO!. God hath made of one man all nations.Acts 17 If you think there are other races than the HUMAN race, you disBELIEVE the Bible:we're all related thru Noah and Adam.(Ken Ham also has a good message on this at Sermonaudio) Can BELIEVERS use ANY version? From SermonAudio we learn 6/3/5 that " One Version changes 'Son of God' to female! A publisher is touting a new edition of the Gospels that identifies Christ as a woman named Judith Christ of Nazareth." By the same token: modern versions teach racism as proven at: http://www.geocities.co m/brandplucked/race.html Goo d food for thought on letting the Bible correct our preconceptions. Jim's Spannagel's comments below are apt.

Thank you for a good sermon. I have always thought that there was more than just one excellent English translation of the Bible. Also, living abroad in a land full of idolatry, I am sure that had original manuscripts been preserved for our day, there would be a lot of people in the world worshipping the those parchments instead of our only true God and Savior Jesus Christ. Finally, thank you for the teaching that there is only one race, all decend from Adam. As a westerner, I am considering a nice lady now who is Japanese. I have freedom to marry her, if God would bless and be pleased. Don't worry ! This princess is one of the most peaceful and God honoring Christian women I have ever met. Please pray for us to follow God and please Him.

“ 1/2 a great sermon ”
Pastor Barkman does a great job in presenting his views on Interracial Marriage, when he gets to Bible versions it becomes another story. He states God preserved His Word, He just doesn't know how. How confusing is that? Anyone who has studied this issue can dispatch Pastor Barkman's comments against the KJV rather easily. He laughs at the inclusion of 1 John 5:7 in the KJV, but fails to see any problem with the entire book of Revelation being omitted from manuscript Vaticanus. I find his presentation of this portion of his sermon rather prideful and not very honest. A Christian does not have liberty when it comes to "Thus saith the Lord" How many versions of that does he find.

Praise God! This is a wonderful sermon full of truth and spoken with confidence of the Holy Spirit. Clean it up, pastor!
