King Solomon is an eminent type of our Lord Jesus Christ in a number of important ways, even if he is not in terms of his loving many foreign women. He is a type in wisdom and riches and in the greatness and power and glory of his earthly kingdom. But his desire in repentance would no doubt have been that he could have been wise and holy in that regard; that he could have faithfully been a type of Christ in marriage.
