Today our associate pastor, Jason Austin, proclaimed God's Word from our pulpit, in which he continued from last month his address of 1 Peter 2:21-25. Here are his words of introduction: As Christians pilgrims, as sojourners, as exiles, as citizens of the kingdom of heaven, as those who are temporarily traveling through this world, we must look and learn from the example set by the LORD Jesus Christ. Christians ought to walk in the same way in which he walked. Our lives must be lived in accordance with his life. We must look to him. We must learn from him. We must follow him. We must follow the pattern and example of the LORD Jesus Christ, who was given as our example, that we should do as he has done. In the passage we consider today, 1 Peter 2:21-3, Peter reveals to us that the example set by the LORD Jesus Christ, provides for us everything we need to know, in order to endure and triumph over unjust suffering and tribulation. |
