Most of those who call themselves Christian do not hold to the belief of dispensational premillennialism. Many reasons are given but the two most prominent are: 1) it was not the view of the 'church fathers' or 'reformation fathers' or 2) it was not defined as such in the Bible. The former is an appeal to authority which is a logical fallacy and the latter is a straw man argument since the Bible does not clearly define any of the major views commonly held today. If this is the standard then none of the major views of eschatology can be considered valid. Yet, the Bible does have much to say about end times, maybe we should be using exegesis rather than eisegesis to hear its message.
