In these notes we return to our study of 1 Thessalonians. We address the teaching of the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. We will be here a couple of weeks, Lord willing. We address the popular doctrine (and what I believe to be unbiblical)--the pretribulation rapture of the church. Many Christians have never heard any other teaching, except for this that we will attempt to refute and correct. The present day understanding of the rapture of the Church before a future 7 year tribulation, although the most popular position, is of recent and doubtful origin. I hope that we will all give close attention to these important matters.
