Great Sermon! Pastor you were sort of right about David Warfield. He didn't commit suicide, but he was found guilty of murdering a lesbian couple. Guess poor David/Dana just didn't find his happiness. For a sermon that's 24 years old, this was WAY ahead of it's time. But still very timely for today.

THANK YOU I needed this message today. I'm in my senior year of Bible college. I am engaged to the right man.(we are long distance which can be difficult)I am a product of God's grace through the bus ministry in my home church. My Pastor always told me that there at 3 things that could rob me of Joy 1. Circumstances 2. People 3. Things. He was right.(unsurprisingly because he usually is) Right now, I am struggling financially, academically, and spiritually. I have isolated myself from others and blamed them for not reaching out to me. Anonymously one of the girls put together a gift bag for me which was very kind and lifted my spirits. Unfortunately that was temporary they're just "things". I realize now that what I need to do is to refocus all of my hope in the eternal. PRAISE GOD FOR HIS FORGIVENESS AND PATIENCE WITH ME! ❤️

Thank you sir! Thank you. That was a message I needed to hear, and if the fact that I played it three times is any evidence, it seems to be something my flesh does not want to except. Thank you again.

Great Sermon! A message for all seasons; and perhaps more relevant today than when it was preached.

Such a blessing There is great wisdom in this message. Dr. Berg so clearly communicates God's Truth. How wonderful it would be if all around this world, individual hearts would be willing to receive God's Truth, really hear it, and by God's grace begin to apply it in their lives. Thank you for sharing this message.

loving leashes saving us from individuality from G Gyday;
I agree with the Preacher about GODS love keeping us plumetting from despair in our disconnection from HIM. I dont fully agree with his(author) risk taking avoidance bias....I beleive risk taking is what sets limitation ...we have choices to take risks in Christ or against Christ. You can jump from 25000ft using oxygen as a military free fall paratrooper as a heathen or a Christ beleiving paratrooper.....one has faith in his equipment...one has faith In Christ ...both have faith...both have limitations....one has activities reflecting darkness only because he doesnt acknowledge his SAVIOUR...so its pointless ultimately despite serving his country..giving a sacrifice...its carnal and hedonistic.
Whatever your trade or goal or occupation...you will be limited by Jesus in according to His ultimate purpose....not yours.
Come to Christ....thee is none else worth the risk.

spoke straight to my heart! Was in great despair for I just lost wife, kids, house, all belongings, and recently got out of jail. Ive been hoping and low and lost for I want them back... I have recently been saved. Its idolatry that I hope for them now, for God chastened me so that I would have hope in him... Thanks dr. Berg ill always remember.

This message is sure to make a person halt, atleast for a while in the journey of life to think over.
Great Job Dr. Berg ! Your message has been highly effective, to not only sustain the attention of a person, but also make him/her reflect on his/her life in this ever busy mad world.
My appreciation to Dr. Berg

Great Sermon! Excellent sermon - life is truly empty until we recognize our need for God and put HIM in the middle of everything. Lots of examples and Jim Berg just has a heart for the lost. A truly inspired - and inspiring - sermon.

self reflection Although I know I love Christ and try to Glorify God in all I do. I still saw myself in the example Dr. Berg gave about the middle age man. I had to do just what he said talk to myself through the word of God, not worldly wisdom. Thanks again
God Bless

Great Sermon! This sermon was a real--well--encouragement AND conviction! It reminded me of things that I have known but had let myself forget. . . It helped with an attitude adjustment. Praise God for the power of His Word as well as for His faithful servants who keep pointing toward Him!

Great Sermon! This sermom point out the problems of human souls, it applied a lot of facts to articulate how life is so miserable and disappointed for someone a lot of times. It would be more helpful if the sermon develop more in details about the resolution of these problems. The style of the speech is lively and enjoyable.
