Amazing Sermon! Excellent example of Christ-centered preaching. Starts out presenting the facts and then leads to a wonderful reminder of God's love in Christ. God's judgment did not move Naomi to repent and return to the promised land but His kindness did - verse 6. She heard the good news and returned/repented.
Excellent exposition The pastor preaches about the spread of sin from one man to a tribe to a nation just like Adam's sin spread to all mankind. He reminds us of the comic foolishness of idolatry and the ultimate destruction of those who give themselves over to it.
May the Holy Spirit destroy the idols that we each cherish in our heart so that only the cross remains standing.
Very good Excellent! I really liked the way the pastor compares the situation after the fall to the theme in the story of Robin Hood about the displaced ruler and the sinister usurper.
Great Sermon! Wonderful sermon especially the last part showing us how Samson is a picture of Christ being delivered up by the Jews to the Gentiles for the purpose of being killed and how Jesus could have saved himself as Samson did but chose not to for the sake of his people.
Excellent teaching Excellent in-depth presentation of the differences between amillennialism and postmillennialism. Thank you for all the research you put into this and all the quotes you read from good theologians who are/were amillennial. I appreciate the spirit with which you did this. I still waver between the two positions myself but this has clarified a lot of points for me.
Wonderful sermon How I wish my unbelieving family members and friends would listen to this message. How grateful I am that God saved me from the idolatry of my heart and brought me "out of the house of slavery" to false gods.
Jehovah, the God of the Bible, is the one and only God, not Allah or Buddha or Gaia or any other false deity and not the idols of pleasure or money or relationships, etc. We must have no other gods but Him.
What wondrous love is this! Yes, it is at Gethsemane and at Calvary that we see the clearest picture of Christ's love: His self-sacrificing love for us and His perfect love for His Father, submitting to His will in spite of the horrendous cost.
The origin of all evil, sin and death Excellent sermon on the fall of man and the fact that Adam was the representative for the entire human race but Christ is the representative for his people
Mind-blowing Wow! After a very long and fairly intellectual introduction (I liked it but some people might not) Pastor Robbins preaches his main theme. What was God doing before He created the world? The three members of the Trinity were loving each other perfectly and He was planning everything that would come to pass. These truths should fill us with awe and make us get on our knees and glorify and worship Him. He is truly a BIG God and the only living and true God. Praise be to Him!
Marvelous! This good man really knows how to preach! I have been instructed and encouraged and convicted of not being strict enough with my own sin. And yes it's also wonderful to remember the big picture. All history really has been the history of the war between Satan and Christ and His people. And yes the Book of Revelation makes it clear that Christ has won and will win even though the church is often weak and seems to be on the losing side. Christ has won and will win the final victory! Glory Hallelujah!
The true interpretation of Revelation Thank you Pastor Martin for this true interpretation of Revelation. This is what the pastors of my church and many other Reformed churches preach. Thank you for mentioning the books by Vern Poythress, William Hendricksen and Dennis Johnson. I wish American Christians would listen to this sermon and stop believing the nonsense that they have been led to believe.
Great Sermon! I especially appreciated the beautiful teaching on the Sabbath. May the Lord lead American Christians to repentance for our sabbath-breaking and may He help us to delight in His holy day.
