Good devotional and music! Thank you for this devotional. And the beautiful rendition of this hymn.
Yes, God‘s people had been waiting for the Redeemer for a very long time, ever since the fall and the promise in Genesis 3:15. And in the fullness of time, He came to earth! Praise be to God!
Great Sermon! Wonderful encouragement for Christians facing ANY kind of trials. Christ has overcome the world! And in Him, we also overcome it! So in Him, we have peace.
Great Sermon! Very encouraging. I really appreciated all the quotes from solid theologians of the past and present. This sermon really helped me to better understand these verses, which can be difficult to understand, probably because of the translation in English to “work out”.
Great Sermon! Brilliant and profound teaching on the infinite sovereignty of God. Meditating on this subject should make us humble and submissive and joyful.
Great Sermon! Like Job, I am speechless. The book of Job makes God so much bigger in our minds and makes us so much smaller, which, of course, is the reality. As this pastor says. it’s not specific answers that we need, it’s the revelation of who God is.
Amazing Sermon! There are so many foundational truths brought out in this sermon. And the pastor preaches them with passion, not detached intellectualism. Especially wonderful was the part that explores some of the attributes of God, especially his sovereignty and his goodness, and the tension we feel when we have a hard time seeing both those attributes at work in our particular suffering.
In 9:33, Job declares the greatest need for all of us: an umpire, a mediator who can put his hand upon us and upon God. And of course, that need has been filled in Jesus Christ, our sympathetic high priest, and the only mediator between God and man.
Great Sermon! So good! So helpful for those of us who are in the midst of suffering, to get our theology straight. The pastor said, “Job doesn’t see God‘s silent compassion and His esteem for His beloved servant (Job).”
He reminded us that we don’t need to have the answers. We need to remember that there is mystery and mercy. God is compassionate, even when we can’t see it. He knows that we are dust - Psalm 103.
Great Sermon! Excellent! Pastor Baucham says we must see the book of Exodus as part of redemptive history. Otherwise we’d be left with a deliverer who delivers us and then gives us a law that we cannot keep, and we’d have a God whom we cannot approach.
Wow! What wonderful teaching on the book of Job! This was SO helpful! It has really increased my understanding of this book. God doesn’t give us an explanation for our specific suffering, He gives us Himself. And our response should not be a demand to know why, but submission and trust.
Great Sermon! Wonderful, clear preaching on Jesus’s declaration that He is the way, the truth and the life, and that no one comes to the Father except through Him. Very helpful for witnessing to unbelievers.
Wonderful sermon! Provides scriptural answers to mistaken ideas many people have about the return of the Lord Jesus. The preacher is appropriately passionate about the joy of believers and the terror of unbelievers on that day and warns unbelievers not to delay but to repent now, before it is too late.
Powerful Sermon It’s so good to find a pastor who is not afraid to preach forcefully about subjects like rape or the sinful passivity of some husbands and fathers.
Great Sermon! I listened to this sermon because my church is in the process of electing more elders and a pastor. It was an excellent exhortation of the qualities God requires in a man who would hold such an office. It was thoroughly based on scripture, especially 1 Timothy and Titus.
The sermon was from 2002, but it was surprisingly relevant for our nation’s current political crisis, since extreme Trump supporters broke into the Capitol building last week and vandalized it, an action which caused the deaths of five people. Back in 2002, this pastor rebuked the people in the pews for being so consumed with the subject of their political leaders, while spending so little time thinking and praying about leaders in the church, which is much more important. He said that governments and nations rise and fall, but Christ’s Church endures forever. Amen and amen!
Beautiful devotional This is a beautiful devotional explaining the imagery of this psalm. It made my heart rejoice to be reminded that God has brought me out of the Egypt of my former bondage to sin and is bringing me to the promised land.
Great Sermon! This was brilliant preaching! I understand this portion of God's word so much better then I ever did before. Thank you, Lord, for the men you raise up to preach your word faithfully, by the power and wisdom of Thy Spirit.
Good encouragement This was very encouraging. I've become very weary of praying for all my unbelieving family members for so many years when they show no visible sign of any interest in the things of God. This message gives me renewed hope. Thank you.
